Women In Crypto (WIC) is an online education platform founded by Ifeoma Augustina Inya-Agha, headquartered at 2 Umueke Street, New Haven, Enugu, Nigeria. We operate the website joinwic.com and all associated services. When this policy says "WIC", "we", "us" or "our", it means Women In Crypto.

We collect information you provide directly to us when you: • Create an account (name, email address, password) • Purchase a course (billing details, payment reference — we do not store card numbers) • Upload payment proof (screenshot image) • Fill in your profile (optional: phone number, country, bio) • Send us a message via the contact form • Subscribe to our newsletter (email address) • Participate in live sessions or community chat We also collect limited technical data automatically, including your IP address (hashed for affiliate tracking), browser type, pages visited, and session duration. We use cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to: • Create and manage your student account • Process course enrolments and payments • Deliver course content and track your progress • Send you receipts, enrolment confirmations, and course updates • Respond to your support requests • Send our newsletter (only if you subscribed — you can unsubscribe any time) • Calculate affiliate commissions if you are an affiliate partner • Improve our platform and fix technical issues • Comply with legal obligations We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
4. Sharing Your Information
We share your data only where necessary: • Payment processors (Paystack) to process transactions — governed by their own privacy policy • Email service provider (Resend) to deliver transactional and newsletter emails • Cloud infrastructure (Supabase, Vercel) for hosting and data storage — both are GDPR-compliant • Law enforcement or regulators where required by law We do not share your data with advertisers or marketing companies.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase servers hosted on AWS infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We use Row Level Security (RLS) policies so that each user can only access their own data. Payment proof images are stored in a private, access-controlled storage bucket. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in (authentication session) and a preference cookie to remember your consent choice. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging in.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you • Correct inaccurate data • Request deletion of your account and associated data • Unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time via the link in any email • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@womenincryptoandbusiness.com with the subject "Privacy Request".
8. Children
WIC is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
